I’ve found that I lost who I was inside when I truly gave in to my eating disorder. My whole identity revolved around food and weight, and the self inside me disappeared. Now that I’m in recovery, it’s hard to remember who I once was, or if that person was even the real me. But I do believe that I can find myself again, and that woman will be much better than before.
